MatedSouls is a UK dating service for people over 50 who have already created a life of their own and want to meet somebody who could genuinely fit into it.
We believe dating should be about more than photographs, endless swiping and collecting matches. It should help two people discover whether they enjoy one another's company, want compatible relationships and could realistically build something together.

Why we are building it
Because attraction is only the beginning.
When you are younger, it can be easier to imagine two lives simply growing together. Dating later in life can be different.
You may already have a home you love, children or grandchildren, a career, retirement plans, responsibilities, friendships and routines you have no desire to give up.
That does not make finding a relationship harder by definition. It simply means that whether two people's lives genuinely work together can matter just as much as whether there is a spark.
MatedSouls is designed around that reality.
What we believe
A dating service should be on the member's side.
The way a dating service makes money should not require keeping people endlessly scrolling, paying for visibility or competing for attention.
Compatibility is more than hobbies
Enjoying the same music or restaurants can be nice, but we believe relationship goals, lifestyle, family expectations and future plans can tell you far more about whether two lives may fit.
More matches are not always better
We would rather help somebody discover a small number of genuinely promising introductions than give them hundreds of faces to swipe through.

We do not want to design MatedSouls around keeping people dating forever. If two members meet someone wonderful and no longer need us, that is success.

Members tell us what is important, where they are flexible and what really is essential.
The aim is not to manufacture a perfect score. It is to create better conversations and better introductions.

We have built the service carefully rather than rushing features into use. Verification, LifeFit, matching, messaging, NextStep and moderation have been developed and tested before launch.
